The Best ‘Dark Knight’ Parody On The Net
August 8, 2008
I’ve been talking about how terrible Batman’s voice was in the Dark Knight for a while now and I’m glad to see that people out there are finally making parody clips about it. The following YouTube video is actually one guy playing 2 roles. He’s basically making a parody of the interrogation scene from the Dark Knight. It’s wonderful that others are seeing how moronic Bale’s gravelly voice was. Some may claim it was clever and realistic, but was the lisp and growl filled voice really necessary? Check out the following clip if you want a good laugh…
Top 100 Video Games of All-Time: #100
August 7, 2008
It took a while for us to compile a list of the 100 greatest video games of all-time, but it’s finally done. Starting today, we’ll be publishing the list one game at a time until we get to #1. #100 was a tricky choice, considering there were hundreds of games that deserved the spot but didn’t make it. After careful consideration, we went with ‘Shadow Hearts: Covenant’ from the Sony PS2.
The game was developed by Nautilus and published by Midway in 2004. It was a direct continuation of Shadow Hearts and the second official game in the series. While it wasn’t the longest RPG, it still provided you with about 35-50 hours of gameplay.
What really gained my attention with this game was the nearly flawless and addictive battle system. That combined with an interesting group of characters, good visuals and a great soundtrack, it made for one hell of a game. While the game could have been improved in some minor areas, it was certainly one of the best RPGs released for the PS2. Let us know what you think about this game!
‘NHL 09′ Hockey League Video
August 4, 2008
12 players at one time in one game sounds like the way online hockey was always meant to be. The latest trailer for NHL 09 shows us what to expect when it come to online league play, etc. The game will be released for Xbox 360 and Sony PS3 on September 9, 2008. PS2 and PC versions will follow in October. It’s been a while since I could honestly say I was genuinely excited about a hockey video game…
E3: New ‘Resident Evil 5′ Trailer
July 15, 2008
Resident Evil 5 will certainly be a big seller. We’ve been looking forward to it for a very, very long time. Unfortunately, we still have to wait approximately 8 months for the release. This video shows off some of the cooperative mode, which is something I have been excited about for a while. According to Stephany at Gaming Today, “…it still looks like it will be a decent game - thus far. It could turn into a complete stinkfest but we will just have to wait and see”. She took the words right out of my mouth. I’m actually afraid to get too excited about it just yet…
Halo’s ‘Chill Out’ Remake Bound for Xbox Live — FREE
July 3, 2008
Bungie’s third Halo game has been regulated to second place in the Xbox 360 online space for a while now by a certain future-proof’ed Call of Duty, but it sure loves its fans.
In a move that Microsoft will likely see as a missed economic opportunity, the remake of the Chill Out map from the Halo 1 days, Cold Storage, will be available for FREE on July 7, according to Bungie.net.
Luke Smith also talks a bit about an interesting throwback wrench being thrown into Halo 3’s online game play on Bungie Day:
“Beginning on July 7, there will be a 48-hour long seven-player FFA playlist in Halo 3’s Matchmaking where you can turn the calendar back to 2001 and control l Rockets, Invis and Snipe.”

‘Booty Sweat Energy Drink’ Becomes Reality
June 28, 2008
‘Booty Sweat Energy Drink’ advertisements popped up a while back to promote Ben Stiller’s new comedy, ‘Tropic Thunder’. At the time, it was just a fake drink created from the mind of some wacked out Hollywood writer. Apparently, people liked the idea so much that Paramount has licensed the brand and it will be a real drink on shelves in the near future. Should we really be drinking something called ‘Booty Sweat’? Probably not, but why should common sense stop us? The drink may even provide an edge the next time you fire up Wii Fit and race your closest friends. If you actually want to purchase this drink, keep an eye out for it at Hot Topic, Hastings or Amazon.
As a side note, Perez stated “Hopefully it doesn’t taste like ass. No pun intended”.
Ninja Warrior: The Game
June 10, 2008
We’ve been waiting a while for the Ninja Warrior video game and it’s finally here. While it does provide a little challenge, the game itself probably should have been tweaked a little more before being released. For a free flash game, there’s really not much I can complain about though. The sound effects are interesting and certainly get you in the Ninja Warrior mood. Any fan of the show will probably find this game enjoying for short bursts. Being good at the game completely depends on your ability to time jumps. When jumping over a gap, you almost have to press the space bar after you have already stepped off the edge.
Slingshot Monkey Should Be A Video Game Character
June 7, 2008
With all the retarded toys that have been invented, it’s hard to find ones that would actually make great video game characters. I’ve spent weeks searching the web for such a toy and finally scored when I discovered something on YouTube called the “Slingshot Monkey” which retails for $4.95.
