Recently, Jared Rea posted an interesting video titled “John McCain POW Brothers”. Some people may find the spoof video to be offensive as it makes fun of McCain’s POW experience, but I don’t see any problem with it. As a veteran myself, I certainly have the highest respect for McCain’s service to our country, but he has trivialized his experiences, so I don’t see a problem with others doing the same. The video pokes fun at McCain’s absurd use of the noun-verb POW, which I am sure you have all heard. I’d like to note that we should respect all combat veterans, but McCain set himself up for things like this video.

This may surprise some of you, but we love more than just video games on Kezins. It seems everyone on the web publishes their iPod playlist, so we decided to let our readers know what music we are listening to. The first list is Will’s favorite 20 songs. We’ll be publishing lists from the other writers (possible some from other sites too) in the near future. I currently have over 12,000 songs on my iPod plus all the stacks of CDs, so it wasn’t easy figuring out what my favorites were. Nirvana and The Killers are probably my two favorite bands of all-time, but I decided to only post one song per artist. Feel free to comment on my picks or list your favorites below, but no Coldplay bashing!

Unfortunately, I didn’t make it to this year’s Penny Arcade Expo. Taking a look at what the PlayStation booth has to offer, it looks like it’s going to be an exciting show. PAX is unique because they allow the public to get hands on experience with titles that were press-only for E3 and Leipzig. Here’s a quick preview video of what Sony has for gamers at PAX:

The real-life models who’ve embodied Lara Croft over the years have never disappointed, giving video game fans plenty of beautiful eye candy — whether it be in video game form, advertising, and…Angelina Jolie.

Unfortunately, her video game form hasn’t always been as nicely, umm, shaped. Go Nintendo found an interesting collage of her evolutionary process from blocky, first iconic female game protagonist, to the much hotter, and looser (as in well animated), model in Tomb Raider: Underworld:

Talk about a purely cosmetic, but entirely necessary, upgrade!

If you are a fan of the site, then you probably read our original ‘7 Greatest Video Game Urban Legends’ post, which quickly became our most popular article ever. We thought it was about time to bring back the post with updates and new information.

We all have heard of them, swore to have done them or know someone whose cousin has. That’s right, I’m talking about Video Game Urban Legends (VGUL). No, we’re not going to talk about the munchkin in the back of “Wizard of Oz” who supposedly hangs himself from the tree. We’re not talking about how there is a ghost in the window in “3 Men and a Baby” who died in that house. Not Bigfoot or Loch Ness. We’re talking Video Games…. We’re talking Urban Legends in Video Games.

We searched high and low to bring to you, our latest redux installment of these Urban Legends, and hope you enjoy what we have come up with.

The good people at RocketXL just sent us the link to this extremely funny clip promoting Smash Court Tennis. If you like office comedy, this video will certainly get your attention. Smash Court Tennis 3 was finally added to the Xbox 360 library. While I haven’t played this version yet, I thoroughly enjoyed the title on the Sony PSP last year. Unlike the PSP version, this one has updated graphics and new gameplay elements such as the ability to choose player emotions. Check out the video below!

Some of the younglings out there probably don’t know much about gaming in 1987, but for those of us who were there, it was really a sweet year in gaming. It’s tough to pick out 10 awesome games from one particular year, but 1987 was real easy. I was ten years old at the time and owned most of the game systems available on the market. Back in early 1987, I was the only kid in the neighborhood with a Sega Master System and probably the only person who didn’t have a Nintendo Entertainment System. This worked out well for me because I could play Sega games any time I wanted and just go to any of my friends’ houses to play NES games. I eventually landed a NES at the end of that year in a trade that involved me giving up the Millenium Falcon and a 1985 Donruss Dwight Gooden rookie card for the console and a couple games. It turns out giving up the Millenium Falcon may have been a bad idea, but Dwight Gooden turned out to be a crack head, so the value of the card dwindled over the years.

With that said, my picks for the “Top Ten Video Games of 1987″ follow. These are selections from games I have played thoroughly. If an awesome game from 1987 didn’t make the list, it’s probably because I didn’t play it or because I didn’t think it was that awesome.

The guys from Antiques Roadshow check out one of the most interesting video game collections I have ever seen including games like ‘Lock Jaw’ that’s worth $4,000. The Keno brothers interview Joe Santulli who runs Digital Press Videogames in an interesting segment of ‘Collect This!’ Check out the video HERE!

About the Keno brothers:

Identical twin brothers Leslie Keno and Leigh Keno have been treasure hunting for more than 30 years and are considered foremost experts on antiques and collectibles. They have excited and enlightened audiences across the country with their lectures and regular appearances on PBS’ Emmy-nominated hit, Antiques Roadshow. Leigh owns and operates Leigh Keno Traditional Modern in New York City and Leslie is Senior Vice President and Director of American Furniture and Decorative Arts at Sotheby’s in New York.
