If you’re a regular viewer of South Park you’ll know that Cartman, Stan, Kyle and Kenny love their video games.  If you recall, last year they featured World of Warcraft.  This time they’re in computer class, playing some good ol’ Call of Duty: World at War on the Castle map.  Check it out:

Love pets? Love video games? Pet Pals combines both in a fun, realistic game.

When I first installed Pet Pals: New Leash on Life, I thought ok where do I start. I read up on their new features over the original Pet Pals. Upon those upgrades were 35 new cases that were written by real vets! And it shows. For this review, I pretended I was a “tween” with moderate knowledge on installing a game and knowing my controls.  Read my “Good” and “Bad” section of the review for details.

Clinic or Clinique. The game allows you to enter the pet clinic where you can Q&A your veterinarian technician. Each animal is caged with the list of symptoms (if any) on the outside of the cage door. The first mission I chose was to assist a stray cat. Throughout the initial check-up, your assisted with the computer highlighting the correct tools to assist your examination. As you investigate the animal, you are given a metric score that can reach 1000 if you ask the correct questions and perform the necessary tasks.  Pet grooming and shampooing was interesting.  Giving a Golden Retriever a good clipping was very easy.

UPDATE: I was sent New Tifa Pics Below Gallery.

Kezins.com presents you with the 50 Best Cosplay Cleavage pics. Our criteria was simple. A woman dressed in costume with cleavage. Sometimes the easier things in life make for better internets.

What is Cosplay?

Cosplay, short for “costume play”, is a Japanese subculture centered on dressing as characters from manga, anime, tokusatsu, and video games, and, less commonly, Japanese live action television shows, fantasy movies, Japanese pop music bands, Visual Kei, fantasy music stories (such as stories by the band Sound Horizon), and novels. However, in some circles, “cosplay” has been expanded to mean simply wearing a costume. Check out the pictures below for some of the best cosplay costumes and models.

I was over Need for Speed years ago, but this release of the series could possibly get me back into it. Having the opportunity to work as an undercover cop cracking down on the criminals is an interesting twist rarely seen in video games these days. Check out the latest video from 1Up:

I haven’t been playing as many different games in 2008 as I did last year. In 2007, I made enough money from blogging to pay rent, child support, car insurance, buy clothes and food, and travel extensively. I was also working for the Virginia Tech Police Department in 2007 on the side, so the side full-time job gave me plenty of money to bank. On top of that, I was pulling in the G.I. Bill. Unfortunately my G.I. Bill ran out and I’m still a few semesters away from my BA. 2008 hasn’t been so kind. I haven’t made 1/10 of what I pulled in last year in blogging and I was unemployed for most of this year. I finally landed a full-time job this week (with a modest salary), but the blogging revenue simply isn’t there yet. Last year, I could buy any game or system on a whim, because I had extra cash always floating around. Things just aren’t so fortunate now, so I have to cut back on my gaming. I haven’t been receiving many games to review lately, but it looks like I’ll definitely be receiving Dead Space from Electronic Arts this week. You never know what I’ll end up receiving, but here’s my plans for now:

Which Type of Gamer Are you?

The Video Game Blog recently posted a link to TechFresh Video Games that I had to click on.  With a picture like the one above, I really had no choice but to find out what was going on. The link takes you to the interesting photo above and that page has a link to an interesting quiz.  I can certainly say that the image was appropriate and the NES Power Glove never looked so good…

Do you like to take on the enemy with a massive blaster, or do you like to discover unexplored lands?  Do you like to stimulate your optic nerves or do you like to solve brain tickling puzzles, or meet hot virtual girls?  Take this quiz and find out.

Rapper Soulja Boy wishes to go to College, learn more about life and make video games.  Wow, the killer 3!

Interested in Flash Animation and the Video Gaming Industry, Soulja Boy is speaking with admiration towards gaming. I’m not sure about leaving all the success he has now, but there’s always room for a new gamer celebrity.

Gaming consoles, PC’s or Cell phones, 99% of Boys and 94% of Girls play Video Game on a regular basis.

A recent study, conducted by Pew Internet & American Life Project, has found that 99 percent of boys and 94 percent of girls play video games on a regular basis. Half of the 1,102 kids, ages 12 to 17, polled had played one within the last 24 hours.

So I guess the good old days of playing tag is really long gone.  Teens obviously represent a good portion of the gaming industries clientelle.  This comes to no surprise to anyone who plays online video games such as Halo 3 or Call of Duty 4.  The games are pouring with young voices and with potty mouths nonetheless.  The primary finding based on 1,102 includes 12-17 year olds.

Within the same study, half the boys surveyed listed a game rated by the industry’s system as “mature” as one of their favorites.  I’ve always said, you can put any rating system you want on a game.  Kids will play them.  Heck, I did!

Is gaming a social or anti-social activity?

We played. We reminisced. We Reviewed. Our Top 10 list of part IV video games streamlined and presented to you in hi-fi!

If you’re wondering what the hell an “IV” game is, it’s the Roman Numeral 4! We know we’re going to get bashed because some “Part IV’s” were not considered, but that’s how things go. Here’s our criteria: a true Part 4 or Part IV needs to be in the title… somewhere. So of course this excludes Super Mario World on the SNES. Believe me I’m fully aware it came after Super Mario 3 but it’s NOT called Super Mario 4 (IV). You don’t like it? Go blame Nintendo or the other developers who decided to intelligently stop their naming convention of numbers and decided to go another direction with words like Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Back to the post at hand; We looked at all the “IV” games out there and narrow them down to ask, “What is the Best IV Game”?

Many great games are stamped with a “Banned” label. With Australia leading every other country in ‘Restricted Games.’

I researched censored and banned video games, to see how many Grand Theft Auto games and which Manhunt titles were on the list. Australia banned both Manhunts. And to my surprise in the US only GTA: San Andreas made the list because of the PC mod of “Hot Coffee”. For those who don’t know, “Hot Coffee” allowed CJ the playable GTA: SA character to partake in sexual acts with his girlfriends. Now in Australia, the versions of GTA include GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas and IV.

Manhunt 1 and 2, Bully and Mortal Kombat make the list. Couple of notes to make here:

  • In Germany games with Nazi references are banned.
  • Greece banned ALL public video games (No Internet cafe’s)
  • Pokemon is banned in Saudi Arabia for promoting Zionism
  • The Guy Game banned in US for revealing a minor’s breasts
  • Oh Canada is Oh-K, No bans. Same for UK

Click on the links below to see which games are banned in which country and of course “Why?” Continue reading »
