Very little to get excited about this week but a couple gems that stick out like a sore thumb: Soulcalibur IV and Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2, the sequel to the game that made twin-stick shooting and neon all the rage with its debut on XBLA in 2005.

We got a chance to try out Soulcalibur 4 at Comic Con this past weekend and have placed our pre-orders well in advance already. This blogger took Yoda for a spin and found that beating his opponent was not the hardest of feats as the green goblin jumps around much like in Star Wars Episode II. Expect to tailor your strategy against him with plenty of low kicks and no grab moves.

Geometry Wars: RE2? Skip the demo and dip into your Microsoft Points fund to outright buy it. ’nuff said.

We’re not really sure at this point what exactly is going on with residents in Liberty City and San Andreas, but it’s obvious that they have been exposed to some type of radioactive substances. G4 recently uncovered some interesting photos documenting the abnormal physical features of two residents.

First it was a six-fingered hooker in Liberty City and now they have discovered a gang banger in San Andreas who uses his thumb as a trigger finger.  WTF?  Was this intentional on the part of RockStar? We may never know…

It looks like those wacky Sony marketers are at it again.  It’s been a while since the whole goat beheading debacle, so now they are back with an even crazier way to promote their products.  If you look closely at the full image, they have replaced the model’s penis with a thumb.  I have no idea what this means, but Sony certainly comes up with some odd international advertisements.  Why would they throw the thumb in there?  The only guess I can make is that it has something to do with giving the thumbs up for playing games on your PS3 or something.  Perhaps no one will ever know why Sony does the things they do.
