Fatal Frame IV has finally been given an official release date. On July 31, the game will hit shelves in Japan. Fatal Frame IV is perhaps one of the few unreleased Wii games that I am really excited about currently. Unfortunately, there’s no word on the North American release for the game. Rumors have stated that the game will be called “Zero” when and if it gets released here in the states. If you haven’t checked out the information on this title, I suggest you do so. Survival horror will probably never be better on the Wii.
Set in the Japanese village of Hanuda, an American TV crew has arrived to research and film an exposé on the legend of a “vanished village.”Controlling seven different playable characters, the player must discover the mystery behind the curse that grips the eerie village of Hanuda.
Survival horror has been perhaps one of my favorite genres of video games over the past few years. It all started with my love for Resident Evil and has continued through numerous game series. What we really need right now is a truly creepy survival horror game with a science fiction twist. So far, I have seen nothing but creepiness from EA’s Dead Space. The trailer below titled ‘God’s Work’ certainly has me wanting more. Let’s hope EA starts releasing some good gameplay videos from the title soon.
