LittleBigPlanet’s success on the PS3 will come to no surprise for those who have followed the customizable game. During E3, LittleBigPlanet showcased Sackboy unveil Sony’s presentation. People are calling SackBoy the new face of Sony’s PS3. I’m sure a million more spore based off Sackboy will be hitting the interwebs soon enough, but BulkyPaint is the first! Without further a due:
Making a repeat appearance this week to, what we’d think, repel potential buyers from its stench further is Vampire Rain: Altered Species which sucked it up on Xbox 360 and is looking to do the same on PS3. It never bodes well when a game’s demo is only released in Japan (like Vampire Rain did) and Americans never get a taste of it…tsk, tsk.
Other than that, we get some quality games this week with Mercenaries 2 and the long-awaited Spore. We’ve heard that the former’s online co-op might be a bit limiting with friends needing to be in close proximity to work, but we’re still looking forward to blowing shit up with a buddy in beautiful high-def.

- Spore Creatures
The Spore creatures keep rolling in this week. The above creature definitely deserves some credit for being unique and creative. It doesn’t really look like an eagle, but it’s definitely bird-like and makes some odd sounds. Spore may be the single game this year that captures the most of our imagination. The video clip was submitted to YouTube by TheSwordUser.
It seems that you can create almost anyone as a Spore. Nintendo’s Bowser is no exception. Check out Mario’s arch nemesis, King Bowser, grow his own ‘Baby Bowser’ from the ground up, literally.
