The Sony PSP has been my top choice for portable gaming since it came out. With the Nintendo DSi around the corner, I may have to start thinking about the options. My love for the PSP is centered around my desire for homebrew. It looks like the DSi could turn out to be a great homebrew system. Wondering what the Nintendo DSi has in store for us? Check out the following video and wonder no more…

FCC will move forward with a plan to auction off airwaves to a bidder who agrees to offer free, national wireless Internet service.
We can give you all the specifics of free wi-fi, but we’re a gaming site. And if you happen to pop onto our site, you expect to see… “Gaming News”. We’ll, I’ll do my best to keep this post as “gaming” as possible. The FCC is expected to finalize rules this year and could begin auctioning off airwaves in early-to-mid 2009. By many estimates the free service will be available to 50% of the US population in four years.
Video Game Releases 10/6
This week was kind of lame in game releases so we admit, yes, we kind of forgot (oops!) about our weekly “drop” report. Please, don’t spear us — “Ice Age” reference.
For those of you playing on PC exclusively, Hell’s Highway should be fun and…well, some big basketball games coming out this week. Choose between NBA Live and NBA 2K9. Other than that, you’re better off saving those pennies you turned into cash at the coin machine for next week.

There’s no doubt that the Sony PSP is my main choice for portable gaming. Games like Resistance Retribution shown below simply add to my decision. I do enjoy the Nintendo DS sometimes, but this is the kind of game you would never see with that option.
The good people at RocketXL just sent us the link to this extremely funny clip promoting Smash Court Tennis. If you like office comedy, this video will certainly get your attention. Smash Court Tennis 3 was finally added to the Xbox 360 library. While I haven’t played this version yet, I thoroughly enjoyed the title on the Sony PSP last year. Unlike the PSP version, this one has updated graphics and new gameplay elements such as the ability to choose player emotions. Check out the video below!
Well, it was only a matter of time we’d see the Greatest Hits red cover come to the PS3. Sony’s last big Greatest Hit was God Of War 2, so going to the PS3 was only logical. The image above is from a K-Mart and does a great job showing the titles. Among those titles we do see are: MotorStorm, Warhawk, and Resistance. The games towards the bottom are PSP games. Had to take out my Sherlock Holmes magnifying glass.
