Zak McKracken: Between Time and Space

April 21, 2008

The above video is a trailer for Zak McKracken: Between Time and Space, a German game where development started over 7 years ago.

Zak McKracken: Between Time & Space is an unofficial sequel to Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders, and has been in development for more than seven years. The game boasts over fifty locations, 3D models, high-quality backgrounds and professional voice work - but the drawbacks are that it’s in German, and the download size is close to 2 GB in total. Voxelstein 3D: 1st Official Release

April 21, 2008

Name: Voxelstein 3D
Developer: Hans Krieg
Category: Action
Type: Freeware
Size: 30MB

This remake  was obviously based on ID’s FPS classic, created by Hans Krieg using the Voxlap engine. The game consists of only one short level, but is certainly worth checking out.  There’s just something about the limitless possibilities of remakes that keeps me always checking out what freeware titles are hitting the web each week.
