There’s been a rumor floating around that a stand-alone AC/DC Rock Band game is on the way. Personally, I think the rumor is unfounded and more than likely not true.

The third game in the Kingdom Hearts series, which has been long overdue for a sequel, should be announced at this year’s Tokyo Game Show, according to a rumor posted on Kotaku.

Disney and Square Enix collaborated on what, at the time, seemed like a weird combination of licenses but proved to steal our hearts with its action-RPG stylings. The post makes no mention of a release date but it’s likely to be out, at the earliest, Summer 2009 and it will be exclusive to Sony’s PS3.

We all know that Microsoft has motion control games, Mii-like avatars and Wii-mote-like controllers up their sleeves. A new rumor has surfaced that the new Arcade bundle headed to shelves this fall will probably include motion controlers and mini-games that use the technology. For now, I’d set this rumor as questionable. Various game blogs have been throwing up motion control rumors for months and they usually turn out to be false. This time, the rumor came from Xbox 360 Fanboy.  They have been credible in the past with rumors, but this one is just worded a little funny.  According to the site, they got this rumor from ”a tip from a source close to Microsoft’s marketing department,”.  Believe it if you want, but there’s really not much behind this one.

It looks like our facility has been hit with a MegaTruck (megaman cartoon lingo). We have received a trustworthy tip that MegaMan 9 WILL support rumble on 2 systems, possibly the third. To protect the victim we have replaced his name with MM9.

“…the support of rumble is something we’ve been working on since all 3 consoles now support vibration controllers. For now, we see the Wii, and Xbox 360 incorporating rumble. The Playstation3 is a possibility…

Great job on the site,

-MM9″

We’re pretty excited that she/he mentioned the PS3 as a possibilty. Until we hear an Official Public confirmation, we’re stashing this in our “most likely true, rumor bin”.

Kotaku reports, according to rumblings at Comic Con, that there might be another game set in the Jet Set Radio universe coming for Nintendo’s Wii. The rumor comes from Sega registering a new “Jet Grind Radio” trademark and points to a possible new iteration of the game.

The original Jet Grind Radio ran well on the almost-decade old Dreamcast– pre, pre “two duct taped Gamecubes” — so it should run beautifully on the Wii. Especially since the original game wasn’t exactly graphically intensive as current gen fare.

If you never got a chance to enjoy the brilliance of the original Jet Set Radio, Jet Grind Radio in the States, here’s a clip of what you missed:

This writer didn’t even know there was a GBA version, so he’ll be scouring the interwebs for a copy of the game for a bit…

New images of the “PSP-3000″ originating from China have been all over the internet today. Many sites are claiming that this is proof that there is a new PSP model currently in production. The photos aren’t high quality enough for me to decide, so believing is up to you.  If these are correct by chance, it looks like it has a built-in mic and several changes to the physical appearance of the system.

We expect an exciting press conference this Monday from Microsoft at E3. There are plenty of rumors out there, so we’ll try to only report the ones we feel are credible. The biggest rumor we expect is the announcement of Halo 4. Word on the street is that the game will NOT feature Master Chief as the main character. If this is true, it could possibly hurt the franchise. I just hope the lead character will be up to snuff.

Other things we expect:

  • ‘Rock Band 2′ will be featured.
  • ‘Dragon Age: Origins’ should be talked about.
  • Microsoft will add some hype to ‘Dead Space’
  • Perhaps we’ll hear something about Fable 2 having online co-op.
  • Xbox 360 price cuts and new SKU!

With any E3, it’s hard to say exactly what will happen, but we’re fairly certain that at least a few of the things I mentioned above will take place.

A recent post by the gents over at Kotaku throws out a rumor that the zombies who once haunted Dead Rising’s Colorado mall, where Frank West mowed them down and dressed up as Mega Man, might have migrated to Las Vegas for the sequel.

As anyone who has ventured to Sin City will know: that place is crowded! It should feel good to take down zombies with broken slot machine levers, put their faces inside roulette spinners, and slam them through the Wheel of Fortune for an immediate jackpot.

All this has yet to be confirmed, of course, and Las Vegas hasn’t been too privy on allowing their city to be recreated piece by piece, but a faux-Sin City would do, no?

This week looks to be a very hot week for Playstation news as another screenshot surfaces.  We already have seen PSone games hit the PSN, but with the news of PS2 games hitting the store this can be BIG NEWS!  I, for one, am an original PS3 60gb owner.  While the news of PS2 titles arriving to the PS3 is nice, I can bet that I own most of the titles they will release PLUS have it on disc which is playable on my PS3.  So, for you 20gb, 40gb, and some games on the 80gb PS3’s it looks like you’ll finally be able to play God of War I and God of War II.  Until it’s confirmed it’s just a rumor!  So why not spread it like wild fire!

So far I can see Red faction, MGS2, Fantavision, Smuggler’s Run and SSX and maybe Ridge Racer V.

Thanks for the tip PS3Fanboy!

[UPDATE] - We have reached out to the owner of FrugooScape about the status. Currently the site is down with a couple video links but no sign that FrugooScape is down.

Drop us a comment (or email), sign up for our “eNews & Updates” email alerts for the latest on FrugooScape news.

Reading up on various FrugooScape Forums, a rumor is flying around that the site will be up by 6/27. Well, it’s 1:35 pm ET and it’s currently still down. In the meantime, to quench your FrugooScape thirst I’ve provided a video done in FrugooScape fashion singing our favorite song spelled terribly wrong “Soulja Boy”. Now I understand what FrugooScape is, an annoying game that animates music videos… fantastic!

With all the funny/interesting/original articles we write, how is FrogooScape our most commented post!!?? Anyhow, enjoy the clip below you FrugooManiacs!
