On October 16th, Resistance 2 Beta codes were sent out to a “Premiere” group.  Second wave coming next week.

The latest Resistance 2 news has left us kinda sad.  Why, you ask?  Cause we didn’t get our R2 Beta Codes.  So after some investigation I felt better.  I had a coke and a smile…  I read on blog.playstation that there are 2 waves of Beta code for Resistance 2.

Premeire Wave:
a Premiere wave which includes those that pre-ordered at GameStop, individuals who subscribed to QORE for one year and/or bought the episode featuring Resistance 2 and a recent contest from GamePro.com. Those of you in the Premiere wave should be receiving an email with a registration code between now and tomorrow afternoon.

2nd Wave & Europe:
A second wave is starting in the middle of next week, and you apply to be a part of it by going to beta.myresistance.net once the site goes live (later tonight). For those of you across the pond in Europe, the public beta will also begin next week.

Well, it was only a matter of time we’d see the Greatest Hits red cover come to the PS3.  Sony’s last big Greatest Hit was God Of War 2, so going to the PS3 was only logical.  The image above is from a K-Mart and does a great job showing the titles.  Among those titles we do see are:  MotorStorm, Warhawk, and Resistance.  The games towards the bottom are PSP games.  Had to take out my Sherlock Holmes magnifying glass.

Aired on SpikeTV, the newest trailer for Resistance 2 can be seen below. This time set in the good ole’ US of A, Nathan Hale’s mission begins in San Francisco. On his way to Chicago, Hale can be seen tackling those 4 eyed freaks who somehow swam to America.

The original Resistance broke the mold with their online play which can host 40 online players at once. Resistance 2 now sets itself a new bar by increasing that number to an impressive 60 online players in one match. Wow. To go along with that now, you’ll be able to invite 7 of your friends and play an 8-player co-op online play too. Now I bet the screen will only be a minuscule 2inch x 2inch square on your 20inch LCD, so it’s only reasonable upgrade that baby to a 52inch Sony Bravia.

A lot of non PS3 gamers have compared Gears of War to Resistance in hoping to create a battle for the best FPS for their appropriate system. Now everyone knows how successful Gears of War was but if you were an open minded, multi-platform owner you knew that Resistance was no poor man’s version of GOW.

Once Resistance 2 was announced, many following the original knew this would be another great exclusive game for the PS3 to market. Well here we are 1 + years later and now we’ll have Resistance 2 and Gears of War 2 head to head. This time, since the PS3 is slated to be “The Year of the PS3″, it should only mean more success for Resistance 2!
