People have been talking about a “Gamer Bill of Rights” for years and now and PC Stardock Publisher just released their idea for a bill at PAX. While I certainly think gamers need rights, I’m not so sure we need a bill of any kind. We should simply be protected like all other consumers. Here is Stardock’s bill and my opinion in blue.
Microsoft’s latest cryptic hardware teaser animation is just a black background, a date, new logo and has the words “Say Goodbye to Laser” in white. What does this mean? We do know that Microsoft has an event scheduled for September 9th in Seattle to unveil their new product line. Some people are guessing that it’s a new mouse, which is a good guess, but it could very easily be something even more impressive. When I first saw the ad, I wondered if it had something to do with digital downloads. I guess we’ll find out soon enough…
Just when we thought thongs were out, the maximum push-up control thong brief is discovered. We have no idea if this product works or if anyone in real life has one, but it certainly looks interesting. We discovered the product while surfing Perez Hilton’s blog.
Go undercover with a license to “shake what your mama gave you” with our new Double-O Collection! The “OO-Brief” provides maximum push-up effect with minimum booty coverage.
This design combines popular elements from our existing collection to create a Brief that enhances the lift, shape and volume of the derriere while also flattening the lower tummy and shaping the thigh. Features a pretty lace detail at the base of each leg piece.
Constructed of an inner and outer medium-control layer made of a Nylon/Spandex blend that creates a smooth seamless look under clothing. A high-compression latex middle layer provides breathable and flexible slimming of the tummy. A creative solution for those who want the illusion of slim and trim thighs, a tummy-tuck and a butt-lift without the use of padding.
I recently stumbled across the following video on YouTube and assumed it was meant to be a spoof or joke, but it’s actually a real product that can be ordered. The inappropriately named $15 stuffed boob bear basically attaches to your seatbelt to prevent it from cutting into your boobs. While you might assume this is for women only, I’m sure it could be useful for guys with man boobs. Check out the video! It’s the funniest thing I have seen all day and it’s actually a real life product.

Overclocked Remix decide to offer gamers “Final Fantasy VII: Voices of the Lifestream”. The album features free fan arrangements of FF songs with over 45 tracks from 40 various artists, all based on the official FF VII soundtrack. While fan-made albums are often terrible, this one is certainly worth the free download. In many ways, it’s superior to the official product.
The styles include jazz, new age, techno, rock and classical. In other words, there’s something for everyone on Voices of the Lifestream. If you love music and love Final Fantasy, there’s no reason not to download this! You can download this album at FF7:VotL Torrent (2.32GB).
I’d like to thank Shawn of Gaming Today for discovering this gem.
A leaked set list is almost never exactly like the final product, but it gives a pretty good idea of what to expect. The Guitar Hero IV: World Tour set list was leaked and it doesn’t look too bad. When Rock Band came out, I had mentioned to people that my Guitar Hero days were over. With the additional of superior drums, it looks like GH is going to take the music game crown back in the near future. Check out the list after the jump!
Meth Coffee? We thought it was some half-witted joke ourselves, but apparently a San Francisco company is producing a new product called ‘Meth Coffee’ to help people stay awake. For you meth heads and crack addicts out there, we’re fairly certain you cannot smoke this product. Sorry guys! Isn’t San Fran where they were selling some cola a few years back called “cocaine”? I guess when it comes to California, you just never know what they will export next.

With the news presented of Apple’s iPhone 3G at an Apple technical conference in San Francisco on Monday, many sources noticed Steve Jobs’s health as well. “Concern over APPLE Steve Jobs’s physical appearance…” read a headline on the Drudge Report, which linked, without further comment, to photos showing the Apple CEO on stage at the Apple conference.
In response to a question about his health Tuesday, an Apple spokeswoman said Jobs was hit with a “common bug” in recent weeks but he still felt it was important to participate in the Apple conference. The spokeswoman said he’s now on the mend with the aid of antibiotics.
Jobs’s health is occasionally the topic of chatter because he was diagnosed with a rare form of pancreatic cancer four years ago, for which he underwent surgery that Apple said was successful. (Apple didn’t disclose that Jobs had been ill until after he was on the mend.) Mr. Jobs is also widely considered nearly irreplaceable at Apple, where he has been the architect of a dramatic resurgence in the company’s fortunes over the past decade. Fortunately for Apple, no replacement is needed.
Soon after the very public success of GTA IV, the actors have come to arms and started complaining about the lack of residuals not granted to them. In other forms of media (i.e. radio, films, television) actors are paid initially and continue to receive compensation well after the product they worked on has released.
The above video is the one of the outcries, nosebleed and all, as Mr. Roman Bellic himself, voiced by Jason Zumwalt, complains about the lack of new funds after the game has gone and sold half a billion in sales.
Michael Hollick, voice of Niko Bellic, takes a more conservative approach when talking to The New York Times by saying the following:
“Obviously I’m incredibly thankful to Rockstar for the opportunity [...] But it’s tough, when you see Grand Theft Auto IV out there as the biggest thing going right now, when they’re making hundreds of millions of dollars, and we don’t see any of it.”

In a recent interview with Microsoft product management director Aaron Greenberg, Gamasutra caught up with the spokesperson just in time to do some post-NPD talking.
Unsurprisingly, Greenberg goes on about attach rates, getting to the 10 millions system served mark, and console “with the most games, and the biggest online community.” Simply turning the cogs of that spin machine, but in what’s surely to set aflame the fanboy community, Greenberg said the following about GTA IV DLC turning up on PS3:
“It’s not possible as far as I’m aware, but that would be a good question to ask Rockstar. Rockstar and Xbox have only said there are exclusive episodes coming this fall to Xbox 360. I might put that up for a bit of wishful thinking on their end.”
Hmm…just “exclusive episodes,” huh? We might just see something along the lines of DLC for GTA IV on PS3, after all.
