For all of you smart shoppers out there, Kezins brought word of a special deal tied to this week’s release of Saints Row 2 earlier. The game was confident enough to play with reviewers pre-release this week; getting favorable reviews across the board. If you’re hoping for some scares just in time for Halloween, you should look forward to Dead Space, as well, which made its way into the coveted “Good” reviews area.

If, for some reason, your interests veer past triple-A games, you’ll be interested to know that Blitz II, My Japanese Coach (cool!), and SOCOM: Confrontation also make an appearance. Oh, yeah, and Rock Revolution. *barf*

Back in the days of Playstation 1 Crash Bandicoot, picked up where Sonic the Hedgehog left off.  Well now he’s back, and he’s still breaking those darn crates.

Released on October 7th for the Xbox360, Wii, PS2, DS, PSP but NOT PS3. Strange, since Crash Bandicoot made his appearance on the PS1, maybe they felt the graphics weren’t suitable for a PS3 port. I can only speculate.

“In Crash Bandicoot: Mind over Mutant, a rejuvenated Neo Cortex is taking over the world one brain at a time! Cortex and N. Brio devise a new kind of evil; a text-messaging, do-anything device which controls both mutant and bandicoot minds. Armed with his quick-wits and lightening agility, Crash must free his friends, the titans and save the day!”

The Nintendo Wii has been a success in all corners of the world. I even heard reports that they are playing Wii Bowling in the caves of Afghanistan and even in remote locations such as Canada. While surfing YouTube, I discovered an interesting Korean Wii commercial. Enjoy!

While surfing YouTube for new gaming videos, I came across one titled “How To Download Nintendo Wii Games On Your PC 100% Free”. I see these kinds of videos all the time and they usually take you to some random Warez site that will try give you a free virus instead of a free game download. It looks like Anasayfa - TRfighters site advertised in the following video features a “legitimate” collection of pirated ROMs. Calling a pirate site “legitimate” is an oxymoron in ways, but it’s certainly not as shady as most I have seen. What surprised me about the site is the fact that it’s not in English, yet I easily found my way around their pages.

I’d like to note that downloading Wii games to play on your PC is highly illegal and we’re not endorsing the action of pirating software or games. I thought some of you might find the video interesting. I’m sure YouTube will pull it before long.

Video Game Releases 10/6

This week was kind of lame in game releases so we admit, yes, we kind of forgot (oops!) about our weekly “drop” report. Please, don’t spear us — “Ice Age” reference.

For those of you playing on PC exclusively, Hell’s Highway should be fun and…well, some big basketball games coming out this week. Choose between NBA Live and NBA 2K9. Other than that, you’re better off saving those pennies you turned into cash at the coin machine for next week.

This writer was only a few months into life when the first Mega Man hit Japan in 1987. The first conscious memory of the “blue bomber” comes in the form of Mega Man X on the SNES where “Rockman” could slide on walls and charge his never-ending shots. Mega Man 9 is the retro-culmination of a series stripped down to the fundamentals that were perfected with Mega Man 2, according to fans of wrinkly-old games. What does a gamer without the nostalgia for the series think of the game? Continue reading »

Boomp3.com (Run time: 8:08)

The Spaniards lace up their “guantes” (Boxing Gloves) tonight and talk about the almighty Wii.   Why the gloves you ask?  Well, Juan’s super excited about Punch-Out Wii or Wii Punch-Out… whatever it’s offcially called.  And Carlos… He’s… indifferent.    They also talk about the DSi and Sin and Punishment 2… err 1.  Find out why on “Whatcu Talkin’ ‘Bout”  mmmmm hmmmm!

Most of us were wrong when we thought the Nintendo Wii would fall on its face. It has been a smashing success and no one can deny that. We also know Nintendo Wii HD will be on shelves sometime in 2010 or 2011. We know Nintnedo plans to put a big emphasis on DLC, the system will be backwards-compatible and in HD. For several reasons, I have my doubts about the potential success for Nintendo in 2010 or 2011. They are basically going to release the Wii 2 which will be equal or possibly less powerful than the Xbox 360 and Sony PS3. At the time time, it will have to compete against the Sony PS4 and Microsoft Phoenix (720) in the future. I’m sure this system will come with a hard drive and will probably be the Wii 2 that we all wanted the Wii 1 to be.

Here’s the problems:

Here’s the first official batch of Nintendo Wii’s Punch-Out screenshots.

Hmm, for those Monkey Island fans, Does Guybrush Threepwood ring a bell?  Check out the screens below and let me know if Glass Joe resembles the Monkey Island native.

Nintendo unveiled Punch-Out!! announced for the Wii.  Here’s the debut trailer, featuring none other than Little Mac.

I’m very impressed to see Nintendo keep this games hushed for so long.  But now was a good time to let it be known because when Nintendo talks, Nintendo Fans listen… and pray.  Punch-Out!! will feature the original cast of the NES minus Mike Tyson :(  I wonder if Glass Joe finally upped his record from the disappointing 1-99!
