Just when we thought games couldn’t get worse, we just read an article about Vagina Hero for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo Wii systems. This isn’t a real game, but the article at Ripten is worth a look. We’re not quite sure what the guys at Ripten are smoking these days, but we want some…
Noel Gallagher has been making some rather odd comments concerning video games lately. A while back, he pretty much blamed violent video games for random stabbings in England. This is what he had to say about Guitar Hero:
“If it puts little plastic guitars into kids’ hands and fires their imaginations, I think that’s a good thing. It’s harmless fun, innit,” he said.
“I’d rather that genre of videogames than somebody getting their fucking head chopped off with a samurai sword while getting fucked by a goblin up the arse with a laser. Do you know what I mean?”
I’m not quite sure if Gallagher says these things because he believes them or because he thinks they are witty. He might be wrong on both accounts, but his statements are always amusing. I’m sure Gallagher will publicly blame video games when the first troll gets abused by a goblin “up the arse with a laser” in real life. Dig Out Your Soul comes out next month and is the 7th Oasis album. Let’s hope it’s at least on the level of Don’t Believe The Truth. I’ll just never like Oasis the way I did their first few albums, but they still put out good music.

We thought we had seen all of the cheap Guitar Hero knockoffs but yet another one pops up. This time it’s Guitar Praise for the PC. Unlike other GH knockoffs, this one actually costs more than the real thing with the price tag of $99.95. You can currently pick up Guitar Hero III (PC) with guitar for about $70. I guess if you want to rock out with Jesus, you’ll be paying extra.
You can pre-order this game to make sure you get your copy in September from the company website. Here’s their description of the experience:
Grab the guitar and play along with top Christian bands! Shred those riffs or blast the bass…you add a unique sound to the solid Christian rock. But watch out: if you can’t keep up, the artists will take a break and stop the music. Crank it up and try again youll soon be rockin’ with the best while praising the Lord! Order the second guitar and jam with a friend!
Here’s the playlist via Gizmodo (I haven’t heard of any of these people):

The Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne will be making a Royal appearance in the upcoming Guitar Hero: World Tour.
SHARON!!! Looking to bite off a bat’s head? Our man Ozzy, will be a playable character in GH:World Tour. There will be a digital enhanced OZZFest that will be a venue in the game. I know there’s been a bunch of classic Ozzy songs in past Guitar Hero’s including: War Pigs, Iron Man, Bark At The Moon and Paranoid. Man, War Pigs is such a good tune to let it fly!!!
OZZFest Artists Metallica, System of a Down and Black Label Society -Featuring Zakk Wylde’s Likeness - Coming to Guitar Hero World Tour
Joining Ozzy in Guitar Hero World Tour as a playable character is his lead axe-shredder and founder of Black Label Society, Zakk Wylde, performing their hit track “Stillborn.” Gotta say, I’m liking Guitar Hero: World Tour a tad bit more that Rock Band 2. But if you’re having a party and want to jam out with freinds, Rock Band is just right prescription… don’t forget the cowbell, baby!

Murder suspects on the run typically lay low and avoid public situations. In this case, 30-year-old Raymundo Castaneda thought it would be wise to hang out at a Wal-Mart in Jacksonville, Florida playing Guitar Hero while he was being tracked down for a murder in North Carolina. The U.S. Marshals were tipped off that he was there and stormed the store to capture the suspect. The interesting part of the story is how he was so focused on playing the game, he never noticed the feds moving in on him. They never mentioned in the article what song he was playing at the time.

I have been a huge Rock Band fan since the day it originally came out. Rock Band is the primary reason I completely lost interest in Guitar Hero actually. It took them long enough, but they finally released Rock Band for the Wii. If you currently own a PS3 or Xbox 360, there’s not a single reason in the world to purchase Rock Band for the Wii. While it’s still a good game on the Wii, it has been stripped down to function properly and you will notice a huge difference between this version and the PS3/360 version.
Gameplay Gameplay has been stripped down considerably for this version. One serious change is the fact that there’s no Band World Tour mode. With the Wii version, you are basically playing with a straightforward song progression style, much like music games of the past. The fun of downloading songs is also gone with this version. A leaked set list is almost never exactly like the final product, but it gives a pretty good idea of what to expect. The Guitar Hero IV: World Tour set list was leaked and it doesn’t look too bad. When Rock Band came out, I had mentioned to people that my Guitar Hero days were over. With the additional of superior drums, it looks like GH is going to take the music game crown back in the near future. Check out the list after the jump!
In our effort to out-do the overrated “Wii Fit Girl”, we’re bringing you “Bikini Guitar Hero Girl”. Check out this chick in her bikini play Guitar Hero! I’ve noticed something in this video… no flat panel TV like “Wii Fit Girl”, and no idiot showing his face at the end of the video.
We Got The Beat… Yeah!
