Hmmph, and you thought the deals were over cause Black Friday past? Nope, I got 6 PS3 deals on LittleBigPlanet, Grand Theft Auto 4, Metal Gear Solid 4, LEGO Indiana Jones, Saints Row 2, Rock Band 2 and more. The best deal in my opinion has got to be the $40 deal for LBP. We here at Kezins have not reviewed the game yet, but maybe this will force us to buy… cause of the price of course. Check em out:

Just when we were getting accustomed to the name given to Halo 3: Recon, the kind people at Bungie decided to change it to Halo 3: ODST.  You are probably wondering what the hell “ODST” stands for.  According to Bungie, it stands for Orbital Drop Shock Trooper.  The ODST expansion will not drop until next Fall, so there’s no reason in the world to get excited yet.

The issue is battered around every once in a while: Are we video game journalists or just part of an enthusiast “press?” This writer definitely falls — and believes — most of of us are under the latter term. Further cementing this belief is an essay written by John Keefer over at CrispyGamer.

Keefer goes mainly into the topic of “embargoes” which are put in place to keep video game writers in check; it gives them a timetable of when they can publish pre-release information. It’s an interesting read and one that presents a few ways we can go about legitimizing the “journalist” tag some of us are more than willing to take up.

For those of you who popped Halo 3 into your 360 today, you might have noticed some changes. Namely, the game’s second title update. It has upgraded you’re copy to a few changes we’ve talked about in the past (achievements) and other Halo 3 tinkering.

Bungie has givens us the full rundown on their site’s blog. Most interesting from the bunch are the “Vidmaster” achievements which will NOT give you achievement points, but Bungie hints that unlocking them should be a worthy investment of your time. Might they finally grant regular folk the flaming Hayabusa helmet (seen above) that only developers — and “special” people — have been privy to?

New achievements after the break…
