Just when I thought Guitar Hero videos couldn’t get any weirder or better, some random dude decides to tape himself playing “Through the Fire and Flames” on Expert… while riding a ****ing bicycle. This guy might be a bit dorkish, but I can’t help but feel like he pulled off something truly badass. Check out the video:
Jeff Cannata, of “The Totally Rad Show” fame, linked his “followers” to this reinvention of Living End’s “Prisoner of Society” from Guitar Hero World Tour. It was on the Twitter feed, we figured we’d share it with the rest of you not stuck on the “next Myspace” app:
Personally, would have swooned at a Yeah Yeah Yeahs or Sonic Youth rendition but we’re not an uptight bunch. We can deal this once “Bike Hero.” Just this once…

Thanks to Atari for picking up the Ghostbuster franchise, 2 new screens were leaked to the press.
While many of us thought Ghostbusters: The Video game was lost due to the release of Activision-Blizzard, Atari saw the potential. It seems that many developers only invest in games that have sequel potential ie. Guitar Hero etc. Coming to PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PC, DS and PS2 in 2009, the release will coincide with the Ghostbusters movie’s 25th Anniversary.
“Ghostbusters: The Video Game is a fantastic addition to Atari’s global line-up in 2009,” said company president Phil Harrison in a prepared statement today. “The title has built considerable anticipation and excitement among game fans.”
Triple-A games are inbound this week and, most likely, the next few weeks up until Christmas time. Since the now-infamous “Kezins crash of 2008″ happened last week, we weren’t able to bring you our weekly comprehensive guide.
Not to worry! We piled it onto this week’s set of releases. Some good stuff awaits gamers’ 60+ dollars — Fallout 3, LittleBigPlanet, and World Tour are some of the big hitters. Have fun (and good luck!) picking out your must-haves from all the must-haves.

Rock Band/Guitar Hero and a Playboy Chick.. anything better?
Kotaku’s very own Owen “Bic to the head” Good interviewed former Activion PR now Miss November, Grace Kim. The following video shows Grace Kim jamming on the Peak Starpek wireless guitar. Gotta love the barrel roll…
For all of you smart shoppers out there, Kezins brought word of a special deal tied to this week’s release of Saints Row 2 earlier. The game was confident enough to play with reviewers pre-release this week; getting favorable reviews across the board. If you’re hoping for some scares just in time for Halloween, you should look forward to Dead Space, as well, which made its way into the coveted “Good” reviews area.
If, for some reason, your interests veer past triple-A games, you’ll be interested to know that Blitz II, My Japanese Coach (cool!), and SOCOM: Confrontation also make an appearance. Oh, yeah, and Rock Revolution. *barf*

PlayStation 3 just got a whole lot awesomer. Check out the newest screens from Guitar Hero: World Tour!
Guitar Hero: World Tour is gonna be great. Heck with today’s news about Rock Band 2 not allowing Rock Band 1, we’re sick of all that confusion. We’re plain guys over here. We like our chicken cooked and our houses with windows. Call me cheesy! Check out all of the PS3’s latest GH: World Tour Screens below:
Just Released McFarlane Toys latest Plastic Guitars. For What you ask, we don’t know…
Only time will tell if these little plastic toys are the add-on to Guitar Hero merchandise. McFarlane currently produces toys for all venues, so no surprise if these guys are prominently displayed in mini Guitar Hero Heroes, whew.

Gamestop is trying to spice all things Guitar Hero up with a competition that involves you sending in a photo of your family, or mom in particular, to them for a chance at wining grand prizes.
We try hard here at kezins.com to present a sane point of view on gender issues in the gaming industry. Kotaku takes the whole thing in a “milf” direction and only feeds the misogyny. I’m overstating it for dramatic effect, of course, but after a few years of participating in the online gaming community one can’t help but feel that people need different perspectives on these sort of things.
This isn’t of course just concerning gaming. This is about the music industry as well, and if we were going to talk about that… well, this just wouldn’t end now would it?
So, to keep this short, think about these things from a different perspective than the normal “dude she’s a total milf”-perspective, that’s all we ask of you. No need to pick sides or anything, just try to acknowledge that these things are present in our culture.
