What Are Your Thoughts On ‘Mad World’ Coming to the Wii?
August 19, 2008
I just finished “bashing” the Wii with my last article but now I have some good things to talk about. Many people are talking about Mad World coming to the Wii and they aren’t all happy about it. Some people think it shouldn’t be coming to a “family friendly” system. I say “to hell” with that notion. Freedom is a great thing and if they don’t like the game, don’t buy the game. It’s that simple. From what I’ve seen, Mad World may actually turn out to be a pretty good game. We’re certainly not looking at another rubbish title like ‘Manhunt 2′.
We’d like to know what you think about ‘Mad World’ so far. Is it a good thing it’s headed to the Wii?

Man Steals PS3 To Allegedly Save Family
August 17, 2008
We’ve read some weird video game related crime reports, but this has to be one of the strangest. On Wednesday, a man robbed an EB Games store located in the 9000 block of St Charles Rock Road in St. John, Missouri. The town is located approximately 14 miles from downtown St. Louis.
The suspect in the crime entered the store, picked up a PS3 and approached the counter to check out. When the clerk prepared to ring up the purchase, the thief pulled out a gun and told the clerk that his family was being held hostage and he needed a Sony PS3 to have them released. To make it stranger, the suspect instructed the clerk to call the police as he left the building.
By the time the police arrived, the man was already gone and no one really knows what’s going on with the hostage situation if there even is one. The St. John Police Department is currently looking for leads on the case. If you happen to know about this, you can call them at 314-427-8700.

Happy 4th Of July
July 4, 2008
We wanted to go ahead and wish everyone a Happy 4th (even our Canadian readers)! I hope most of you get the chance to take it easy this weekend and have a little fun with your friends and family. This is a great chance to get off the internet and have a little fun in the non-virtual world. If you can’t think of too many things to be happy about, just realize that by next year at this time, GW will no longer be in office.
Drink plenty of beer and light a sparkler or two…
Mario Super Sluggers, Japan Duel Gameplay
June 25, 2008
When the two biggest characters in the Nintendo family step into a baseball diamond, you know references to ‘Big Papi’ are bound to be made. The following video shows Donkey Kong vs Bowser. I never knew Bowser and Waluigi were both left handed sluggers… weird.
Summer Olympics: Beijing 2008
June 24, 2008
Hot Dogs, 4th of July and ice cold lemonades… Summer is the best time of year to enjoy the great weather and live it up with your close friends and family. In America, the Olympics are our olde past time. We now have MLB, NFL, and the NBA as our main sport attractions. I feel the Summer Olympics bring us, the world, closer since we all send our best athletes for 3 weeks and compete as to who is the best from each country.

Above: The five mascots for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games include cartoon renditions of, from left, swallow, a panda, the Olympic flame, a Tibetan antelope and a fish, with each one the color of one of the Olympic rings.
7 Greatest NES Accessories
May 27, 2008
Growing up in the 80’s exposed you to many, many odd fashion trends. It brought MC Hammer pants, the wedge haircut and neon arm sunglasses. Many of these embarrassing fashion statements went (Thanks to the 90’s). But the 80’s also brought us some of the coolest NES accessories known to every kid wishing he were the star in “The Wizard”. I was able to feed some banana peels into my Dolorean and head back to 1985 and take pictures with my Polaroid for you convenience, of course.
<Pst, the secret word of the day is “NES”. When you read NES you scream as loud as you can>
NES Power Glove - A controller accessory for the Nintendo Entertainment System designed by the team of Grant Goddard, William Novak and Sam Davis for Abrams/Gentile Entertainment, made by Mattel in the United States and PAX in Japan. Though it was an officially licensed product, Nintendo was not involved in the design or release of this accessory. It was the first peripheral interface controller to recreate human hand movements on a television or computer screen, and was commercially successful as almost 100,000 were made and sold in the U.S. alone. However, it is often derided by gamers due to its imprecise nature of controls, and the fact that basic actions such as jumping or using an item may be very difficult or impossible to pull off reliably.
NES Cleaning Kit - The Cleaning Kit contained two green plastic cleaning tools and an instruction
manual. The first tool consisted of a plastic handle and an end with a C-shaped padded cleaning surface. This surface was designed to be wet with water and inserted over the contacts of a cartridge and used to scrub the cartridge’s contacts. The second tool was similar in design and function but had a flat padded end for insertion into the console itself to clean the console’s contacts. Cleaning the console and the cartridges once a month would supposedly extend product life and increase reliability. Long use would eventually dirty the cleaning pads, which could be replaced at cost through either mail order or by phone using information found in the manual. The Cleaning Kit was apparently created in response to the common practice amongst gamers of blowing into the cartridge or console in an attempt to remove dust from the contacts.
