I’ve been waiting patiently for Inglorious Bastards to hit films, but knew nothing about Sukiyaki Western Django until I stumbled across the IGN trailer on ‘get the big picture‘. Next Friday, this film will appear in only one theater in the United States. For whatever reason, a Japanese film about rival gangs in the 1100s seems like something very interesting to me. Quentin Tarantino is a wonderful director and producer, but his acting skills are limited. Let’s hope his character “Jesus” is limited in the film. After watching the trailer, I see that this film has some real potential.

I enjoyed the first film a few years back.  Spider-Man 2 was iffy and Spider-Man 3 simply annoyed me.  Last year, I was rewarded with the news that Sam Raimi wasn’t interested in continuing the series and it would probably be passed to a new director, which might bring a fresh look to the film.  Now it looks like they may actually make a Spider-Man 4 with Raimi.  Since last year, he has changed his mind and it now looks like he will be directing the final film.  I hate to sound negative about the series, but I am a die hard Spidey fan who simply felt let down by 2 of the last 3 films.

Last summer, it looked like Sam Raimi was ready to walk away from the Spider-Man franchise, but he’s singing a different tune this summer. Coming Soon recently talked to Raimi about his status as the most profitable superhero series ever gears up for its fourth film

Chris Kohler, over at Wired.com, chatted up the PlayStation Network’s Senior Director, Susan Panico, recently who said that the PS3’s social networking app will be available by the end of the year as an “open, working beta.”

Panico goes on to say that the “rollout will be similar to Gmail,” which is still in beta, as many news outlets have pointed out. It seems that the Senior Director was alluding to the fact that Gmail is fully functional, though, even in its “beta” stage. Gamers should, presumably, expect a working product when they fire up Home when its released later this year with incremental updates and changes as the beta continues.

In a recent interview with Microsoft product management director Aaron Greenberg, Gamasutra caught up with the spokesperson just in time to do some post-NPD talking.

Unsurprisingly, Greenberg goes on about attach rates, getting to the 10 millions system served mark, and console “with the most games, and the biggest online community.” Simply turning the cogs of that spin machine, but in what’s surely to set aflame the fanboy community, Greenberg said the following about GTA IV DLC turning up on PS3:

“It’s not possible as far as I’m aware, but that would be a good question to ask Rockstar. Rockstar and Xbox have only said there are exclusive episodes coming this fall to Xbox 360. I might put that up for a bit of wishful thinking on their end.”

Hmm…just “exclusive episodes,” huh? We might just see something along the lines of DLC for GTA IV on PS3, after all.
