For all of you smart shoppers out there, Kezins brought word of a special deal tied to this week’s release of Saints Row 2 earlier. The game was confident enough to play with reviewers pre-release this week; getting favorable reviews across the board. If you’re hoping for some scares just in time for Halloween, you should look forward to Dead Space, as well, which made its way into the coveted “Good” reviews area.

If, for some reason, your interests veer past triple-A games, you’ll be interested to know that Blitz II, My Japanese Coach (cool!), and SOCOM: Confrontation also make an appearance. Oh, yeah, and Rock Revolution. *barf*

Full list of games dropping this week after the break…

Title: Rock Band 2

Developer: Harmonix

Platforms: X360, PS3, Wii, PS2

Release Dates: Sept. 15th (X360), Quarter 4 (PS3, Wii, PS2)

We all have been hearing the songs that will be available on Rock Band 2. So I decided to use this post to set the record straight. Just recently we also caught wind that for a small fee of $4.99, you’ll be able to copy all 55 songs, except Metallica “Enter Sandman”, Black Sabbath “Paranoid” and Tokio Hotel “Monsoon” from Rock Band 1 to your console in order to play them on Rock Band 2. In our podcast, I asked Carlos about the benefit and he mentioned the ability to play all your songs from one location. I’ll give him that, but to pay an additional $5 for convience annoys me.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

The G-string has certainly come a long way since the invention of the loincloth.  The miracle of modern technology and invention has finally updated the G-string once again by getting rid of the string.  When I first heard about this, I was skeptical, but it looks like these things might actually work. I wonder if the next Soulcalibur or Dead or Alive game will feature these.  It’s still not too late for some DLC.

A recent post by the gents over at Kotaku throws out a rumor that the zombies who once haunted Dead Rising’s Colorado mall, where Frank West mowed them down and dressed up as Mega Man, might have migrated to Las Vegas for the sequel.

As anyone who has ventured to Sin City will know: that place is crowded! It should feel good to take down zombies with broken slot machine levers, put their faces inside roulette spinners, and slam them through the Wheel of Fortune for an immediate jackpot.

All this has yet to be confirmed, of course, and Las Vegas hasn’t been too privy on allowing their city to be recreated piece by piece, but a faux-Sin City would do, no?

[Editor’s Note: Walking down the aisles of your favorite retailer you’ll see movies that you’ve never heard of. Even if you’d like to know how they fare no one cares enough to review them! That’s where “Movie Watch” comes in…oh, and we’ll try to cover movies on Xbox Live from time to time. Because if you’re gonna spend those confusing Microsoft points on something other than games, it better be worth it, right?]

“Batman - Gotham Knight” ditches the cheesy Saturday morning cartoon demeanor and goes for a much darker and, consequently, deeper story spread out in different anime-inspired episodes that serves as the middleman between “Batman Begins” and “The Dark Knight.” Is it worth the price of admission?

It looks like there’s yet another crime possibly linked to video games. This time, it was a double-murder in Mississippi sparked by an ongoing feud over a PS2 game.

Nearly 24 hours after Denise Jackson was killed in her Vicksburg home, the body of Preston L. Qualls, 25, was found two doors away near debris from a house under construction, and police believe he was a victim of the same gunfire.

On Monday, Eric DeShawn Jackson was charged with the murder of Preston Qualls. Jackson is also charged in the shooting death of Denise Jackson and her unborn child. Jackson, 25, was four-and-half months pregnant.

According to police, the motive for the crime had something to do with an ongoing feud over a Sony PlayStation 2 game. More information will probably surface surrounding these events in the near future. It’s very sad that someone would murder others over of a video game.

This week Adam takes a look at Left 4 Dead, one of the cooler titles we have seen in recent months.  When I first heard about the title, I was wondering if we really needed another apocalyptic zombie game.  It seems like every time one is made, it ends up being too cheesy.  I’ve been anticipating this game since it’s announcement back in 2006 and we really don’t have much longer to wait.  If you are unfamiliar with Sessler’s Soapbox, you might want to check it out each week.  Adam tells it like it is.

11 new screens for Dead Space have surfaced and they look sweet as expected.  For those of you unfamiliar with the title, this is EA’s 3rd-person action game scheduled to be released this October.  In the game, you take on the role of Isaac Clark, a space engineer on an intergalactic mining ship called the Ishimura.  Obviously being in space there will be plenty of aliens to battle.  Some may also consider the title to be a space-horror game as well.  Enjoy the screens!

We love zombies at Kezins.com and fortunately came across this pretty good zombie tribute clip on YouTube tonight. For me, if a zombie tribute clip includes anything from Shawn of the Dead, we have to give it some credibility for having good taste. My all-time favorite zombie movie moment had to be at the end of Shawn of the Dead when Shawn and zombie Ed are playing the PS2 in the shed at the end. Name the game they were playing and it’s worth 100 bonus points…
