The Nintendo Wii has been a success in all corners of the world. I even heard reports that they are playing Wii Bowling in the caves of Afghanistan and even in remote locations such as Canada. While surfing YouTube, I discovered an interesting Korean Wii commercial. Enjoy!

Microsoft’s lame attempt to counter Apple’s “I’m a Mac” commercials have finally gotten on my every last nerve. I certainly have to call this commercial out for BS considering not one single person in the video has a Control+Alt+Delete feature built into them. I also find it funny that Microsoft feels truly threatened by a computer that owns a mere 10% of the market. I’m a Mac loyalist myself, and I certainly hope that the PC continues with its success. If Mac (the superior product) were to take over, quality would dwindle…

Remember these? Coleco’s Mini-Arcades were “The Arcade Games You Can Take Home With You!”

Ms. Pac-Man, Frogger, Pac-Man, Galaxian and Donkey Kong were the first Coleco Mini’s that were produced in the 80’s.  Not really portable but Coleco marketed them as the “Arcade Game You Can Take Home…”  The commercial below shows just how big and clunky these devices were.  And running on 4 C’s, you know this should have been on wheels.  Nevertheless, growing up in the 80’s where Arcades WERE the main gaming system, Coleco made a good attempt of trying to capture them.

For the entire year, it seems like I end up seeing the IO Digital Cable commercial at least 5 or 6 times per day while watching television.  For some reason, it seems to appear more during The People’s Court.  While I completely despise this commercial, it’s very effective.  (877) 393-4448 is one telephone number I will never get out of my mind, regardless of how hard I try to forget it.  The last time anyone forced a number into my head like this was Tommy Tutone and 867-5309.  At least “Jenny” was a half-decent song.  Will we ever see the end of the IO Digital Cable Commercial with the silly lobster and half-ass rapping?  Maybe one day, but probably not a day that comes soon.

And they say video games are a bad influence on people? It kind of blows my mind when I check out board games from the 1970s and see how truly wacked out they were….
