Just about any kind of animal stuck in a video game makes for a funny video. For some reason, a hamster seems to be the best choice for odd creature stuck in a video game. The video is either a genius display of a very smart hamster making it through a maze or animal abuse. It’s really hard to make the call…

It took a while for us to compile a list of the 100 greatest video games of all-time, but it’s finally done. Starting today, we’ll be publishing the list one game at a time until we get to #1. #100 was a tricky choice, considering there were hundreds of games that deserved the spot but didn’t make it. After careful consideration, we went with ‘Shadow Hearts: Covenant’ from the Sony PS2.

The game was developed by Nautilus and published by Midway in 2004. It was a direct continuation of Shadow Hearts and the second official game in the series. While it wasn’t the longest RPG, it still provided you with about 35-50 hours of gameplay.

What really gained my attention with this game was the nearly flawless and addictive battle system. That combined with an interesting group of characters, good visuals and a great soundtrack, it made for one hell of a game. While the game could have been improved in some minor areas, it was certainly one of the best RPGs released for the PS2. Let us know what you think about this game!

While skimming through YouTube videos, I came across one titled ”Accept Jesus and get a free Nintendo Wii”, so I had to check it out to find out what the hell someone could possibly post with that title.  The actual video is just a still image of a Nintendo Wii with the audio of a podcast running for slightly over 17 minutes.  According to the host of the podcast, there was a church in Florida offering a free Nintendo Wii to anyone who accepts Jesus and joins their church.  Who knows if the story is true, but it really wouldn’t shock me if it was in fact a truthful story.  Some of the religious discussions in the podcast are actually interesting.

Not many exciting games dropping this week, but shooter fans should be happy. Enemy Territory: Quake Wars will satisfy console gamers waiting for the PC shooter that launched to favorable reviews.

Aside from the obvious choice this week is Mass Effect (with a smoother framerate and altered HUD from the Xbox 360 version) and Lost Planet: Extreme Condition Colonies Edition which is, remember, incompatible with the first edition of the game on Xbox 360. Aww.

Concept Art from Rare\'s showing at Nordic Game Conference

The guys over at 1up.com have uncovered some choice concept art from Rare at the Nordic Game conference in Sweden last week and it looks like the developer has some “dark” genes in them. The gallery (found here) shows that Rare could be well-suited for the muted colors they’re current offerings avoid using.

You won’t see any googly-eyed bears or colorful piñatas, just interesting concept art for games that never saw the light of day.

Now that I’ve dated every possible girl in GTA IV, I have made my pick for “top girlfriend”. It wasn’t really a hard choice, considering there’s some real negative aspects to most of the women you will date in the game. If you haven’t gotten deep into the game, keep in mind that some of the following information may spoil the story for you.
