People have been saying that the value of a college education has been declining for years. I’m finally starting to believe it. Currently, I’m searching for a new career to help make ends meet. I make a little money writing about video games, but it’s not enough anymore. During my job hunting experiences over the past few months, I have realized that my degrees don’t mean a whole lot. I’m still competing with people who have no degree at all for entry level positions. While the value is decreasing, I still feel like having degrees is an important thing. There are still quite a few jobs out there that require them. It’s just a sad fact that a degree isn’t worth what it once was…

Affirmed did it in 1978, and we’ll have to wait another year for a new Triple Crown winner. ‘Big Brown’ loses! Coming out of the rail at post number 1, Big Brown comes in last lightly galloping. ‘Big Brown’ moves to a career record of 5-1, 6 starts with 5 wins. It is uncertain if ‘Big Brown’ was injured during the race, but replays show no evidence of that.

Da’Tara took the early lead and did not look back. A horse trained by Nick Zito, Da’Tara looked strong the entire race. The win bet paid out an astonishing $79.00.

Could the injured hoof be the reason why ‘Big Brown’ did not win?

On a side note, be careful looking for ‘Big Brown’ through google images. I dropped my laptop at the results, here’s an example.

Belmont Stakes Results:

6 Da’Tara $79.00 $28.00 $14.00

4 Denis of Cork $5.40 $4.10

8 Anak Nakal/ Ready’s Echo $7.60 (Dead Heat)
