For those of you waiting for the Army of Two “Veteran Map Pack” release, the wait will soon be at an end. We should see the free download hit the Xbox LIVE marketplace and PSN sometime on Thursday. This pack includes 3 new maps and should extend the life of the game for a little while. If you haven’t already traded in the game like I did, now could be the time to dust it off a little.
If you haven’t already traded in Army Of Two like I did, you may be interested in the new DLC headed our way next week. Personally, I’d pass unless you really love the game and still have it. The Army of Two was a great experience for a couple days, but the gameplay really wore thin on me after that.
EA Press Release quote:
“We want to support our fans with new content that delivers on the two-man gameplay but with a unique twist,”says Alain Tascan, VP and General Manager of EA Montreal and Executive Producer of Army of Two. “The SSC Challenge gives players a chance to test their skills in a different setting while retaining the action packed co-op intensity that gamers have come to expect in Army of Two.”
Atlus released the official trailer for Operation Darkness, an alternate-reality WWII strategy RPG for the Xbox 360 system. The trailer depicts British SAS’ Wolf Pack as they fight Hitler’s supernatural Nazi army of vampires and zombies.
World War II games are completely played out at this point, but there’s something different about Operation Darkness. Perhaps it’s the fact that it’s an alternate-reality version of WWII that might save the game. In the game, you take on the role of a special ops team member assigned to take down Hitler’s secret army of vampires and zombies. That sounds like “B” movie material right there and that just so happens to be the kind of entertainment I like….
