[Editor’s Note: Walking down the aisles of your favorite retailer you’ll see movies that you’ve never heard of. Even if you’d like to know how they fare no one cares enough to review them! That’s where “Movie Watch” comes in…oh, and we’ll try to cover movies on Xbox Live from time to time. Because if you’re gonna spend those confusing Microsoft points on something other than games, it better be worth it, right?]

“Batman - Gotham Knight” ditches the cheesy Saturday morning cartoon demeanor and goes for a much darker and, consequently, deeper story spread out in different anime-inspired episodes that serves as the middleman between “Batman Begins” and “The Dark Knight.” Is it worth the price of admission?

For all you anime fans out there, there’s a little manga that became an anime, which has now evolved into a 3-part live action film. If you’re hard-core, you probably already know what I’m talking about.  You guessed it right, Death Note. For those that do not know, the story revolved on Light, a college student who finds a notebook lying on the ground coined “Death Note”.  He “reluctantly” picks it up and that is when havoc ensues…

He basically can write anyone’s name down in the book with his or her face in mind and kill him or her off with the jot of a pen.   Later on it becomes a whole moral issue on who he kills, why and a very entertaining cat and mouse game. Think of CSI and Law & Order multiplied by a thousand. It is one of the most exciting intellectual dramas I have encountered and I implore you to check it out!

New screens for X-Blades have been released and they look great.  Players take on the role of Ayumi, a sexy pistol-blade user.  If you are into hack and slash anime style games, this one looks like it might be worthy.  There’s a link below to their website where tons of screens are located.  I have also posted the latest screens in our gallery below.

London, April 25th 2008 - Ayumi, “X-Blades” sexy heroine, doesn’t only look good in the game’s artworks - those fantastic brand-new screens almost make her jump right at you out of the screen! The development team at Gaijin Entertainment has really pulled out all the stops in the past few weeks, integrating lots of new objects into the game - there are fascinating statues and mysterious receptacles - and you can break ‘em all to get at the contents, which might be special rewards in the form of power-ups or maybe treasure.

Another focal issue for the developers is the ongoing refinement of Ayumi’s combat skills. She has been given new attack moves - and at the same time the fluidity of the various animated graphics and their inter-connection have been perfected.

To give you a foretaste of all this, you’ll also find these and a bunch of high-res screenshots at at www.x-blades.com.
