PETA has an odd assortment of marketing techniques that range from throwing red paint on old ladies wearing fur coats to having celebrities pose naked for ads to throwing meat on crowds. The most recent marketing attempt was having Olympian Amanda Beard pose naked for an anti-fur ad. Does it work or even help PETA? I’m sure people certainly like looking at stuff like this, but I highly doubt it helps the causes of People Eating Tasty Animals (I mean People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). While I certainly believe we shouldn’t be using animal fur the way society does, I simply can never get on board with the philosophy of PETA. If we were meant to be straight herbavores, meat wouldn’t taste so good. So I’ll continue eating meat, but I can get on board with the no fur thing. I’d like to add that I don’t condone throwing red paint on old ladies or throwing meat on random people. Check out the ad below and let us know what you think.
