While it comes as no surprise that a game with “Grand Theft Auto” in the title would go on to sell millions upon millions, it does come as a bit of a surprise that it has beaten ALL of Nintendo’s console offerings, saleswise.

NPD has reported that Grand Theft Auto IV has gone and sold a cool $6,293,000 in North America and Europe (the game will be out shortly in Japan). Followed closely by Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart Wii, Wii Fit, and Guitar Hero III, in order.

Before Kezins, this writer got his start on R3match.com. We started a podcast on the site, but busy lives and conflicting schedules made it possible for only a few shows last year. Finally, we’ve got our “ish” together and have brought the R3match Radio Podcast back!

Listen in as Jason and yours truly dissect the latest in gaming and ramble on in this special “Resurrection Show.” 23-minutes of awesomeness awaits you here.

Unfortunately, we haven’t gotten ALL the kinks worked out yet, so to download you might want to try Internet Explorer instead of Firefox. If you just want to listen, any browser will work.

Please let us know what you think of the show in the comments below.

It took a while for us to compile a list of the 100 greatest video games of all-time, but it’s finally done. Starting today, we’ll be publishing the list one game at a time until we get to #1. #100 was a tricky choice, considering there were hundreds of games that deserved the spot but didn’t make it. After careful consideration, we went with ‘Shadow Hearts: Covenant’ from the Sony PS2.

The game was developed by Nautilus and published by Midway in 2004. It was a direct continuation of Shadow Hearts and the second official game in the series. While it wasn’t the longest RPG, it still provided you with about 35-50 hours of gameplay.

What really gained my attention with this game was the nearly flawless and addictive battle system. That combined with an interesting group of characters, good visuals and a great soundtrack, it made for one hell of a game. While the game could have been improved in some minor areas, it was certainly one of the best RPGs released for the PS2. Let us know what you think about this game!

Meth Coffee? We thought it was some half-witted joke ourselves, but apparently a San Francisco company is producing a new product called ‘Meth Coffee’ to help people stay awake. For you meth heads and crack addicts out there, we’re fairly certain you cannot smoke this product. Sorry guys!  Isn’t San Fran where they were selling some cola a few years back called “cocaine”? I guess when it comes to California, you just never know what they will export next.

What I’d like to know is why are these guys not part of FIFA 08? The first all-dwarf soccer team isn’t exacly gaming or nerd news, but I found it interesting enough to post. The video came from our game loving friends at Fox News.
