‘The Curiously Long Case of Benjamin Button’

Without ruining the story for those who haven’t seen the film, I wanted to at least express some of my thoughts about the film…

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was certainly an epic and creative film, but fell short of my expectations. David Fincher could have struck gold with this interesting story, but the film simply never put the pieces together the way a good story should.  There were moments in the film where I felt completely attached to the characters, but there were more moments where I was just sitting silently in my seat praying for the scene to end.

The entire story is based on a man (Bradd Pitt) who is born old and ages backwards.  Unfortunately, they failed to piece together his life in an interesting way.  A majority of the film lacks emotion and there are only a handful of dramatic sequences that interested me.  The film seemed like a ripoff of Forrest Gump in many places, but wasn’t nearly as witty or entertaining.

‘SIDE’ the production company that brought us Fable 2 says “It was a real pleasure to work on”.

With over 45 actors ranging from the ages of 8-80 to play 200 speaking characters, Fable 2 has nearly 370,000 words recorded which comes to 38 hours of dialogue!  Unlike Oblivion, where certain characters voices were depicted correctly based on looks alone, Fable 2 has dialogue that seems to be a bit more evened out.  By that I mean, speaking to 2 characters in a row will rarely sound the same.  Hope that’s clear…

For Microsoft’s epic RPG, FABLE 2, SIDE cast over 45 actors (aged from 8 to 80) to play almost 200 speaking characters. Four of SIDE’s voice directors ensured that all performances harmonized perfectly with FABLE’S idiosyncratic world and captured the complexities of its inhabitants. The voice recording ran concurrently in two of Side’s studios for over three months, amounting to nearly 370,000 words recorded – that’s 38 hours of dialogue!

“FABLE 2 was a real pleasure to work on. We realised this was going to be something special as soon as we saw the superb script,” said Side Creative Director, Andy Emery. “The widespread critical acclaim for the performances in FABLE 2 show the impact a great script, cast and direction can make”

Peter Molyneux says “The sheer amount of dialogue in FABLE 2 meant this was a massive project. Side rose to this challenge in a professional and efficient way. They have done a great job for us”

PETA contacted SEGA after they used a real chimpanzee in an online video promoting Samba De Amigo.

Here at Kezins.com we’re very passionate towards the safety of animals. I avoid squirrels whenever I can. Will stopped wearing fur socks. We even let Carlos feed the pigeons atop our tree house.  So we’re pro-animals and it shows!
In a letter sent to SEGA from PETA, they were asked to pull the Wii game Samba De Amigo ad for the purpose of chimpanzees used in their online video.

PETA contacted SEGA once we discovered they were using a real chimpanzee in a commercial promoting the new Samba De Amigo game. Once we informed SEGA of the horrible things chimpanzee “actors” go through (such as being ripped from their mothers when just days old, being forced to perform demeaning tricks, shocked with electric collars, beaten, and deprived of food), they immediately made the kind decision to pull the video from their site and promised to keep all great apes out of future ads.

Personally I’d be more upset if I were a Mexican Monkey. Stereotyping them with maracas is just going too far ;)
