I’m not sure what the hell is wrong with the editors of Vogue magazine, but they now have an issue out with Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) posing buck naked with a horse. This isn’t the first time Radcliffe posed naked with animals and we’re honestly tired of it and think this whole naked with animals thing needs to come to a swift end. To make things even worse, this article in the magazine was written to help promote a play in which the actor simulates sexual ecstasy while riding a horse naked. So basically we have a 17 year-old (borderline child porn) in a play that involves animal love or “bestiality” as the pervs like to call it and somehow this is “ok” with everyone. Even though he’s probably too old at this point, I’d rather see Radcliffe to go back to doing Harry Potter or some non-zoophilic role that isn’t so disturbing.

I was one of the millions who went to watch the slightly above mediocrity which is “The Dark Knight” this past weekend.  I’m not here to bash the movie, or claim it’s the worst but people out there HAVE to come to their senses. The Dark Knight (TDK) is NOT the best movie of all time, and that’s the truth!!!

Heath Ledger had his best performance on the silver screen, with his portrayal of ‘The Joker’   Everyone loved his performance, which I thought any other actor acting like a psycho would have done.  Not that difficult, you put some make-up on and read lines which professional writers give you - done!

Now the real talent was with Harvey Dent / Two-Face played by Aaron Eckhart.  His performance as the District Attorney was stellar and when he transformed into Two-Face he was that much better.  There is no doubt Eckhart’s performance out did Tommy Lee Joness’, but I’m also going out on the limb here to say he was the best actor on screen.

I actually forgot the plot of the movie was supposed to be around this guy, umm… Batman.  Christian Bale was really trying to throw more than his voice, his “angry” Batman lines were actually amusing.  A better movie would have been ‘Two-Faced Joker’, and skip this nippleless suit crime fighter.

Onto the IMDB debate

When I looked to see where “The Dark Knight” matched up against other Action movies, I was stunned.  Comparing TDK to other great titles is just plain and simply idiotic.  Shawshank Redemption, The Godfather, and Star Wars: Empire Strikes back are fantastic films.  I see TDK in the upper crust, but more of a 7 than a 9.4.  Here are my pro’s and cons on TDK.

Pros:

  • Harvey Dent / Two Face
  • The Joker’s quotes
  • Batman’s motorcycle

Cons:

  • Batman’s voice
  • Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel Dawes
  • 152 minute run-time

Tell me who you think was the best actor on screen.

Yup, watched the train wreck again. Viewers are witnessing the demolition of a man crush. Here is a recap of this show and every other episode that is sure to come. Corey Haim is a child actor who cannot comprehend the child. He is not an actor. How can you be an actor when you’ve done nothing but a reality show in what, 15+ years? The show is just him trying to revisit his childhood and continually blaming Feldman for his lack of success. His obsession with Feldman is just bizarre. The full page ad Haim took out in Variety was totally a publicity stunt, aimed at begging people to give him work. How could he possibly believe that it was an apology? Why mention work? In case you missed it, the ad said: “This is not a stunt. I’m back. I’m ready to work. I’m ready to make amends”.

Dumb-butt! For one, that’s the most self-centered supposed apology I have ever seen. Secondly, why the hell does his has-been behind think that the industry has been waiting with baited-breath for his reappearance. My life has continued on nicely with the disappearance of the Lost Boy. I’ve never had a conversation with anyone in which we discussed how much we missed Corey Haim. It’s just sad, sad, sad.

I know I made some people mad while talking about Michael Jackson in my last post. Anybody who watched the Martin Bashir special in which he proclaimed, “There is nothing more loving than sharing a bed with a young child”, should realize what kind of guy MJ really is. My almost five year old still climbs in my bed on a regular basis but I am not dumb enough to say anything like that. There are a million things that are more loving than sleeping in a bed with a child THAT IS NOT YOURS! Michael’s words condemned him. A jury doesn’t have to. What magical world do you people live in where guilty people go to jail? Grow up. Michael Jackson doesn’t do inappropriate things with children any more than R. Kelly pees on people. We’ll just leave it at that.
