Many gamers are looking forward to the NXE (New Xbox Experience), but I am dreading the event.  Several contacts of mine inside and outside of Microsoft have confirmed that the company is bracing for major problems. The new update could possibly result in the death of your Xbox 360.  I’m on my second 360 now and honestly do NOT plan on purchasing a 3rd.

Conveniently, the additional warranty Microsoft offered last year expires before the NXE launches.  While this is all speculation and hopefully will not happen, it seems Microsoft has been prepping their customer support teams for a crisis.  If I am forced to experience RROD again, I am calling it quits when it comes to gaming on Microsoft machines.  After 2 Xbox systems and 2 Xbox 360s, I do not plan on investing in anymore systems destined for the junk heap.

From what I have seen, NXE is faster and easier on the eyes than the dashboard setup we deal with now.  We can only hope that the NXE/RROD talk is just that… talk.  If not, Microsoft can forget about me gaming with them ever again.
