Game Review: Mega Man 9 (Wii, 360, PS3) I Have a Bad Feeling About This: Playing DVDs on the Wii
Oct 05

We decided that our “about” section doesn’t really let our readers know enough about us.  To solve this, we decided to come up with a collection of questions and select 10 for each of us to answer.  Hopefully this will let you guys get to know us a little better.  Unlike corporate sites, we’re down to earth and basically regular gamers like all of you.  Some of the questions are game related and others cover categories outside the realm of games.

The first set of 10 questions went to myself.  Hopefully we’ll get Carlos and Juan covered later in the week.

1. Favorite all-time game?

Final Fantasy VII

2. Favorite all-time system?

That would have to be the SEGA Dreamcast.  I can’t think of any other systems that were close for their generation.

3. First game you loved?

Dragon’s Lair (arcade).  I was six years old when DL hit the arcades and I feel that the game is what turned me into a gamer.  I also dropped many quarters on the title.  I picked up the HD-DVD version of the game a while back, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as I remembered from the old days.

4. Favorite place on earth?

That’s a tough question considering I have travelled all over the world.  I’d have to say it’s a tie between New York City and Aruba.  NYC is one of those places that has anything you could possibly ever want.  I also feel full of life when I am in the city.  Aruba is quite different, but it’s my favorite place to relax.  I have been to NYC hundreds of times and even lived there for a while when I worked for a company in Hunts Point.  I’ve been to Aruba 4 times and that’s obviously not enough for me.

5. PC or Mac?

I’ve been a Mac loyalist since I was a kid.  I’m not much of a PC gamer, so I’ve never really had the need for one.  While I’ve always had a PC as the spare computer, it’s rarely used.

6. What’s your education background?

Currently I have an AAS in Marketing and Graphic Design and am 2 semesters away from a BA in the Arts.  I’m currently narrowing down my grad school selection and am down to Pen State, Virginia Tech, State University of New York, DePaul University and Gonzaga.  I’m hoping I make my final decision by January.

7. Favorite movie?

Star Wars.  I’d have to also add that I prefer the original Star Wars (1977) version to the retarded enhanced version we’ve all been watching for years.  I have the original and enhanced versions of the original trilogy on DVD and I only watch the originals.

8. Current favorite game?

That’s a tough one, but I’d have to say Halo 3 for the social factor.  I know some people might jump on me for that selection, but Halo 3 (like the Halos before it) simply has an extreme lasting appeal.

9. McCain or Obama?

I can say this much… I’d rather burn in hell than vote for McCain.  We’ve had possibly the worst 8 years in American history since Bush was elected, so it’s a time for change.  Since McCain supported Bush through everything, I can’t support McCain.  And don’t even get me started on Palin.  Some people say that McCain will get the veteran support, but this is one combat vet who will not vote to extend the war in Iraq.  I definitely feel we need to pull out of Iraq and up our efforts in Afghanistan.  Some people say that means we lose in Iraq, but is it really a win or lose situation there anyway?  I’d like to see Bin Laden’s head on a stick.  That’s my priority. :)

10. Favorite band?

I’d have to say Nirvana.  There hasn’t been a single band since them that captured my imagination.  Nearly all of their songs have the ability to strike an emotional cord with me, so they are definitely one of a kind.  There are dozens of bands that would probably tie for a close second though…

Hopefully you enjoyed my answers.  We’re definitely trying to reach out and converse with our readers more than ever before.  Keep an eye out for the answers Carlos and Juan have for us later in the week.  Feel free to drop comments on the site.  We love getting into any conversation we can get our hands on :)

    Oh, no…

    You TALKED politics :)

Yeah, you should have wrapped it up with religion, that’ve made it the “money two”!

I too loved the Dreamcast, it was too ahead of it’s time. Glad developers are still making games for it.
