Codemasters and Front Magazine, published a special six-page feature in this month’s FRONT magazine (out today) with former Cyber Girl of the year, Alex Sim-Wise.
“God OF PHWOAR”
We knew ‘Rise of the Argonauts’ would market themselves against God of War, and this is a great way to make a splash. The images below are 3 commemorative pictures that will be featured in this months FRONT Magazine in the UK. So for you non-UK based reader (and UK based) I got a treat for you. Alex Sim-Wise is a former Cyber Girl of the Year.
For those of us currently enjoying rockin’ out in Rock Band 2 on Xbox 360 (and everyone else in Rock Band 1) comes a bit of surprising news. AC/DC, to coincide with their latest album, Black Ice, are releasing the “AC/DC Rock Band Pack” for Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii ($39.88) and PS2 ($29.88) on November 2 — November 16 on Wii.
We say surprising because it will only be available at Wal-Mart in-store with no option to download online. The other thing is that it’s pretty damn pricey — especially if you don’t like all of the songs on the disc. You’ll have the option to export into your hard drive, which is cool, but hopefully not at an expense. Will you guys be picking it up?
EA has reporteldy shown interest in making The Sims™: The Movie™. If they can afford to make it (sarcasm) will YOU show interest? Juan and Carlos have different opinions on The Sims™: The Movie™ idea, and it has nothing to do with all those ™’s. Who’s right?
New screens from Ceville have hit the net to show off some of the progress being made with the development. We’re trying out a new way to show slides on our site with the above show. Let us know what you think.
I’m already taking 5 courses this semester towards my degree, but was thumbing through the local paper and came across a 6-week certificate course titled ‘Video Game Design Concepts’ offered by the local Academy of Careers and Technology. While my plate is certainly completely full already, I decided to go ahead and sign up for this certificate course to find out a little bit about video game design.
The last time I actually designed a game was on an Apple IIe during my days at Blacksburg Middle School. I suppose that pretty much gives away my age. While I have certainly been active in gaming through playing and blogging over the years, I’d really like to get to know a little more about simple game design. I’m sure I will not be creating the next Halo with this course, but I’m confident I’ll create something interesting we can share on the site here.
‘Shock Jocks’ Opie and Anthony make their debut on Sirius Satellite Radio today. They’re still on XM Satellite Radio thus making them one of the first cross-platform radio station jocks.
In a move that surprised even Opie and Anthony themselves, the Opie and Anthony show has crossed over to Sirius Satellite Radio. If you are a Sirius subscriber, you may have noticed that there’s a new show ‘infecting’ your airways. That’s right “The Virus” the channel that ‘Opie and Anthony’ broadcast on, is available on Sirius channel 197. What does this mean for you? Nothing if you’re an XM subscriber. Two talk radio shows on Sirius; The Howard Stern Show and The Opie and Anthony Show w/ Jim Norton.
Available now on the PlayStation Network, Jeopardy! puts you into the hot seat… a virtual hot seat!
When was the last time you were asked “This ’stately’ dessert consists of sponge cake, ice cream & meringue, & is baked hot for 5 minutes?”. (answer it in comments) Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) answers “$14.99 Trivia Game on the PSN”, “What is Jeopardy!?”. Sometimes a good trivia game will remind you just how smart, or un-smart you really are. I’ll break down, “The Good” - Jeopardy!, “The Bad” - Double Jeopardy! and a final score - Final Jeopardy!
Microsoft’s Fall Cleanup took a little longer than mentioned. But currently, Xbox LIVE is back up and running, and the world is normal again.
We said it would be down, but we said 24 hours. Don’t shoot the messenger. Well, you can argue with the messenger or slap the messenger, but NEVER shoot the messenger. Anyways, it’s back up. Go play Castle Crashers.
You’ve read our posts, seen our pics, now it’s time to hear us talk. We’re calling this piece “New England Clam Chatter”. Ok maybe not, what should these rants be called?
