‘Olivia “TMI” Munn’ Video Games For Windows: The Official Magazine closes down

Videogamer.com has put up an “OMG Wipeout HD media blowout!” section on their site, with a bunch of videos which makes me actually considering getting a PS3, although I’ve already got a killer PC and this is one of the very few titles that will be PS3 exclusive, and manages to be interesting at the same time (MGS4… God of War 3… Heavy Rain… ehrr…ehrr… whatever Team Ico is working on…).

Take a look at the “Zone Mode” video. This thing is pure art, with music, visuals and gameplay skills all combined to form a beautiful, unique experience, depending on the track you race. The gameplay actually affects the music, with filters and effects kicking in when you for example fly off an edge, and the music affect the visuals (to some extent though, with equalizers lined up here and there, I don’t know if the actual color scheme of the track is affected by the music as well).

If they drop this thing with an insane price point, like $19.99, it would be heaven. But I could actually see myself paying $29.99 for this beautiful piece of art. I’m really curious about the 1080p and 60fps thing, though. Not one single console game has yet to pull that off. But if its one system thats gonna do it, it’s the PStriple, baby.
